Support for Teachers

Loyola Batch of 81, Jamshedpur

About Us Ex Loyoleans

We were a part of a great school. We all have come a long way in life. We appreciate and credit our school for what we are. Our teachers have played a very important role in shaping us.

Today we feel the need to support our teachers in their old age. This initiative aims to enable enthusiastic Loyoleans to connect to their teachers and give them a smile with dignity in return of their blessings to us.

About teachers - Our understanding of present scenario

  • All Loyola teachers used to get Rs 364 per month as pension, last 2 years they are getting Rs 1000/- per month.

  • Most of them retired at a time before our economy salary pattern changed.

  • During school days their support was salary and tuition.

  • They generally connect with other teachers during student get together.

  • One of the key discussions amongst teachers revolves around pension. f) They also wish we can talk with them once a while and if possible meet them.

  • They all are independent individuals and but of course have their dignity- they will not talk specific needs for themselves or other teachers.

  • Need medical help and support. Our friend - Dr Suman stands apart due to his efforts not only in clinic but also taking time in TMH to meet other doctors in OPD.

About - The Initiative

1981 batch collected funds using an account operated by batch mates in Jamshedpur. This was then distributed  / is being distributed to identified teachers. In addition contact data was shared for support to individual teachers, one on one basis.

We feel all ex Loyoleans can take similar initiatives. We will share relevant inputs and data.

OUR AIM IS TO ENSURE BETTER SUPPORT FOR OUR TEACHERS - WE INVITE ALL SUGGESTIONS
